Work Packages of the Project
Work Package 1

Array-based methylation is available for all CNS tumors and sarcomas diagnosed at partner institutions. Methylation procedures are conducted on-site, with the Consortium providing support through consumables, funding, and training.

Work Package 2

Our services include comprehensive clinical data management and coordination of molecular tumor boards. We utilize a central REDCap database for efficient data handling. Additionally, we organize joint molecular tumor boards in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri, USA.

Work Package 3

Comprehensive genomic testing for selected tumors will be conducted in Heidelberg, using biomaterials shipped from our partner countries.
Work Package 4

We are developing alternative tools for methylation-based classification of CNS tumors, including an Oxford Nanopore-based algorithm and an AI-driven prediction algorithm that utilizes H&E pathology slides.
